Global Mobility Specialist - Remote Position

About the Role

We’re looking for a Global Mobility Specialist to join our dynamic Global Mobility Team at Yelp. This full-time remote role based in the United States focuses primarily on Global Mobility matters and US Immigration. As a Global Mobility Specialist, you will also be exposed to global immigration processes in Canada, the UK, and Germany, along with Employer of Record (EOR) support. You will manage domestic and international relocations, preparing cost projections while liaising with our relocation and tax advisors.

What You'll Do

• Manage both domestic and international relocation and transfer cases.
• Work with current employees to ensure continued work authorization, including amendments, extensions, permanent residency, and business travel.
• Continuously communicate timelines with involved parties—employees, managers, Business Partners, and Yelp’s immigration counsel.
• Assist with permanent residency processes and ensure compliance with country-specific immigration requirements and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as People Operations, Business Partners, Recruiting, Payroll, Legal, Corporate Tax, Finance, and Accounting to streamline cross-functional processes.
• Assist with employee and employer immigration compliance in partnership with internal and external partners.
• Maintain accurate immigration data and work with the broader People Operations team on Global Right to Work Checks and immigration compliance audits.
• Assist with vendor management, including Yelp’s immigration counsel, relocation, and tax advisors.
• Help maintain Yelp’s internal Wiki pages, which include process workflows, policy guidelines, and other necessary resources.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Global Mobility, preferably in-house.
• Familiarity with US Immigration is required.
• Subject matter expert in Global Mobility, particularly US immigration and mobility.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Resourceful and proactive in seeking internal and external resources for problem-solving.
• Knowledge of relocation/mobility policies and processes in line with industry standards.
• Experience managing vendors is preferred.
• Customer-service focused with strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Workday and Google Suite is a plus.

• Experience in tax, legal, benefits, and immigration issues.
• Experience in a tech environment.
