General Manager - Employer of Record (EOR) Remote
About the Role
Join Deel as a General Manager for our Employer of Record (EOR) business, a pivotal role that will allow you to lead and scale our operations globally. This General Manager position is a unique opportunity to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence in a company that is at the forefront of the global work revolution. As a General Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of work by enabling companies to build global teams without friction. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the EMEA region.
What You'll Do
- Own the EOR business end-to-end with full P&L responsibility, growth strategy, and global operating performance.
- Accelerate growth by defining and executing the roadmap to expand market leadership in the EOR sector.
- Drive verticalization by building industry-specific EOR solutions tailored to sectors like shipping, mining, and entertainment.
- Scale operations by overseeing global compliance, onboarding, payroll, and lifecycle management to build for efficiency and scale.
- Lead cross-functional execution, aligning Product, Engineering, Go-To-Market (GTM), Finance, and Legal teams around clear priorities.
- Evolve the product towards a more scalable, tech-enabled platform, incorporating automation and APIs.
- Utilize data to prioritize investments and improve performance across the EOR business.
- Act as the face of EOR internally and externally with key stakeholders, representing Deel's commitment to innovation and excellence.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in general management, operations, or workforce platforms.
- Proven track record of owning and scaling large P&L businesses in high-growth environments.
- Experience in global, regulated, and operationally complex businesses.
- Ability to lead large, matrixed organizations and influence without authority.
- Strategic and hands-on operator with strong execution rigor.
- Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Strong product and operational judgment.
- Executive presence with C-suite credibility.
Nice to Have
- Background in HR tech, payroll, or workforce infrastructure.
- Experience scaling global, regulated platforms or services businesses.
- Track record of expanding into new verticals.
- Exposure to global compliance and employment frameworks.
