Functional Analyst - Technical Accounting (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Functional Analyst - Technical Accounting (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Reale ITES. This role is pivotal in enhancing our technical accounting processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards. As a Functional Analyst, you will work closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements and drive improvements in our systems.

What You'll Do

• Gather and analyze functional requirements from business stakeholders to improve technical accounting processes.
• Design and execute feasibility studies and functional analyses to support project initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage change requests and ensure effective communication with project leads and stakeholders.
• Support monthly and annual accounting closure activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize SQL and other analytical tools to derive insights and support decision-making processes.
• Participate in project initiatives related to accounting and claims management.
• Provide problem-solving support for processes that encounter errors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific disciplines.
• Previous experience in a consulting role or large finance sector companies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to manage complex problems and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with accounting principles, especially in technical accounting for claims and premiums.
• Experience with programming, particularly in Java, is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Agile frameworks.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
