Fullstack Python Developer - Satellite Communications

About the Role

We are looking for a Fullstack Python Developer remote to contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art multi-orbit/multi-frequency SatCom OSS. The system, a novel satellite constellation simulation, requires knowledge and experience primarily in backend but also frontend. The role is based in our development centre in the heart of Europe, the city of Luxembourg. You will be an integral part of an already existing team of experienced, friendly, and talented colleagues, who are passionate about software development and support each other perfectly. You'll have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies today and take a leading role in paving the way for the satellite communications of tomorrow!

What You'll Do

• Actively participate in the implementation, validation, and delivery phases of the software project as a Fullstack Python Developer remote.
• Produce and maintain clean and efficient code following development and quality standards, on time and within budget.
• Analyze existing code and redesign it to optimize and solve inefficiencies.
• Prioritize problems, bugs, and bottlenecks to work on the most pressing issues first.
• Communicate easily and enjoy working closely with other software developers, product managers, and validation engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent degree/work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Python, with a strong understanding of REST APIs.
• 2+ years of experience in Frontend development using Angular or React.
• Experience in Flask, Dask, and Celery tools and frameworks is beneficial.
• Strong plus for creating web applications (frontend/backend) using Angular Python from scratch.

Nice to Have

• Additional expertise in technologies such as message queues (e.g., Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ).
• Asynchronous task handling (e.g., Celery).
• Satellite link budgets and websockets knowledge.
