About the Role

Bonfire Studios is seeking a Freelance Character Concept Artist - Remote to design emotionally resonant characters for their original dark fantasy IP, Arkheron. This role is fully remote, allowing for collaboration with talented artists regardless of location. As a Freelance Character Concept Artist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to an original IP and shape memorable character designs.

What You'll Do

• Design character skins that are bold and evocative, enhancing the visual storytelling of Arkheron.
• Explore costume variations and visual motifs that resonate with the game's dark fantasy theme.
• Collaborate with art leadership and 3D artists to ensure cohesive character designs.
• Build reference boards and mood explorations to guide character development.
• Showcase your portfolio demonstrating a range in character design, highlighting strong drawing and design fundamentals.
• Engage in effective communication and collaboration with team members to bring characters to life.
• Participate in discussions about fashion and visual culture to inspire character aesthetics.
• Contribute to a tight-knit, values-driven team environment that encourages authorship and experimentation.

Requirements

• Portfolio showcasing a range in character design is required.
• Solid fundamentals in drawing and design are necessary.
• Experience in games, film, or entertainment is preferred.
• Great communication and collaboration skills are essential.
