Freelance Broadcast Design Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is seeking a Freelance Broadcast Design Engineer to support our coast-to-coast broadcast operations. This Freelance Broadcast Design Engineer remote position focuses on system proposals, design systems, and maintaining broadcast equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our broadcast systems.

What You'll Do

• Support coast-to-coast broadcast operations as a Freelance Broadcast Design Engineer remote.
• Work on system proposals and design systems tailored to client needs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot broadcast equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with integration projects and remote production assignments.
• Create equipment lists and engineering diagrams for various projects.
• Independently manage integration projects from inception to completion.
• Engage with designs and adapt them for future needs, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with external vendors and clients to meet project specifications.
• Occasional travel for project-based assignments may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of broadcast systems design experience.
• Knowledge of live and REMI production environments is essential.
• Understanding of system integration techniques and project budgets.
• Strong knowledge of IP Video, Dante, and REMI systems.
• Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
• Understanding of cloud production technologies.
• Flexibility to work late shifts and weekends as needed.
• AutoCAD Certified or equivalent software proficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience with advanced broadcast technologies.
• Familiarity with remote production workflows.
• Project management certification.
