Founding Full Stack Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Founding Full Stack Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Pangolin. This remote opportunity allows you to play a pivotal role in shaping our identity-aware remote access platform. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will help architect, build, and maintain the core of the Pangolin system, which simplifies secure access to applications and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and test the core of our self-hosted platform using NextJS for frontend and Express APIs for backend.
• Work with technologies like SQL, Drizzle ORM, and implement CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to distributed systems, networking, and security.
• Engage actively with the open-source community on platforms like GitHub and Discord.
• Ship quickly and receive instant feedback from our large open-source user base.

Requirements

• Must be a current or recent graduate with more than 3 years of work experience in computer science.
• Must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate (with relocation assistance).
• Comfortable with early-stage startup culture and eager to contribute ideas.
• Extensive experience with TypeScript and familiarity with Go.
• Knowledge of web identity and authentication standards such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SSO.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and operational technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and AWS.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including tunneling, WireGuard, proxies, and SSL/TLS.
