About the Role
We are seeking a Founding Engineer to join our innovative team at a venture-backed AI startup. This role offers a unique opportunity to build AI systems from the ground up and work directly with the founder to shape both product and architecture. As a Founding Engineer, you will be instrumental in applying large language models (LLMs), agents, and real-time systems to transform the insurance industry.
What You'll Do
- Design and build AI voice agents that interact with real users.
- Embed LLMs directly into operational workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Create real-time decision systems capable of handling high volumes of interactions.
- Integrate AI systems with complex legacy infrastructure.
- Ship production systems quickly within a small founding engineering team.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering skills with experience in Python, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Proven ability to build production systems involving LLMs or applied AI workflows.
- Comfortable working in early-stage startup environments with a strong ownership mindset.
- Experience in designing and building systems from zero to one.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on AI agents or LLM infrastructure.
- Background in applied AI systems in production.
- Enjoy solving complex problems and building new systems from scratch.
