Forward-Deployed Engineer - Remote Integrations Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer to join our team at Ruby Labs. This remote position will allow you to work closely with our innovative payment orchestration system, which includes a JavaScript frontend SDK, a Golang backend API, and an internal CRM. As a Forward-Deployed Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of our payment solutions into various products and workflows.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with internal and external product teams to integrate our payment solution effectively.
• Assist in the correct integration of our frontend JavaScript SDK and backend APIs.
• Debug and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring smooth functionality across systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to product teams, answering integration questions and ensuring best practices.
• Review and validate API and SDK documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity.

Requirements

• Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and frontend integrations.
• Experience working with frontend SDKs or third-party APIs.
• Ability to read and understand backend APIs (REST, JSON, auth flows).
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
• High ownership mindset, ensuring integrations work effectively in production.

Nice to Have

• Experience in payments, fintech, or checkout flows.
• Familiarity with React / Next.js.
• Experience improving developer documentation.
