Forward Deployed Engineer - AI Integration Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our dynamic team at Mercura. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely while being the technical face of our company, transforming signed deals into live AI deployments. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be at the forefront of integrating our AI software into complex enterprise systems, making a significant impact on our clients' operations.

What You'll Do

• Own the full technical implementation of our software after the sales handoff, from kickoff to go-live.
• Configure and finetune Mercura's AI for customer-specific use cases, including prompt engineering and model behavior adjustments.
• Structure customer data and build integrations with systems such as SAP and APIs.
• Develop prototypes to demonstrate new features and solve emerging customer challenges.
• Engage daily with technical and senior business stakeholders, translating their pain points into engineering solutions.
• Act as the voice of the customer within Mercura, providing feedback to the core engineering team.

Requirements

• Experience in full-stack engineering, comfortable with frontend, backend, and data pipelines (Python, React, Typescript, SQL, APIs).
• Familiarity with system integrations, particularly with ERP systems and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Strong data wrangling skills, capable of making sense of messy, real-world data.
• Practical experience with AI and LLMs, including prompt engineering.
• Customer-focused mindset, thriving in environments where you solve problems end-to-end.

• Experience in B2B SaaS implementations.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts.
• Previous experience in a startup environment.
