Florist - Remote Position for Holland America Line

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Florist to join Holland America Line in a remote position. As a Florist, you will be responsible for all onboard floral arrangements, ensuring that both fresh and artificial floral displays meet our high standards. This role is essential for enhancing the guest experience through beautiful floral designs.

What You'll Do

• Manage all floral arrangements onboard, including ordering supplies and maintaining both fresh and artificial flowers.
• Report daily to the Executive Housekeeper and adhere to assigned working hours.
• Participate in meetings with the Executive Housekeeper to discuss floral needs and updates.
• Oversee the administration of flower re-orders, billing, and reporting in collaboration with the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Ensure all floral supplies are stored securely and the work station is kept clean and organized.
• Conduct weekly inspections of public areas with the Hotel General Manager and Executive Housekeeper.
• Prepare fresh flower arrangements on embarkation day and throughout the voyage.
• Interact positively with guests and crew, promoting floral sales during the cruise.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• Prior experience in floral design or a related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event planning or hospitality.
• Knowledge of environmental guidelines and regulations.
• Familiarity with the company’s proprietary Navigator App.
