Finance Systems Data Analyst - Remote

About the Role

We are hiring a Finance Systems Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at Remote. This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse, global team. As a Finance Systems Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of financial data across SAP and Snowflake environments, which is essential for effective financial decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Maintain, validate, and reconcile financial data between SAP and Snowflake data warehouse.
• Transform and model data in dbt, our primary modeling layer, to ensure clean and connected data.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely data ingestion from SAP to Snowflake.
• Support finance users in troubleshooting data or system issues within SAP and Snowflake-based dashboards.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports using SQL and Business Intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Identify and automate manual finance data processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to data governance frameworks to ensure standardized definitions and consistent use of financial data.
• Participate in finance system upgrades, data migrations, and automation projects.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with finance data as a systems analyst or data analyst.
• Strong SQL skills for data modeling and transformations.
• Experience with dbt or similar analytics engineering frameworks.
• Proficiency in financial data analysis, reporting, and visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python or DBT for data automation.
• Exposure to SAP S4 Hana.
• Understanding of SAP Finance modules (FI, CO, AR, AP, GL) and underlying data structures.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including writing advanced SQL for data modeling and transformation.
