About the Role

We’re hiring a Finance Internal Controls Manager to join Monzo, a leading FinTech company, in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in driving change, automation, and control maturity as our finance team scales. You will be instrumental in reducing reliance on manual processes and embedding sustainable controls through transformation.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize tools such as RCSAs and controls MI to prioritize changes and track the impact of transformation activities.
  • Drive the transition from manual controls to automated processes, especially following ERP changes.
  • Design and automate controls using ERP platforms like SAP, leveraging SQL and Python to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Engineering teams to create scalable controls.
  • Support complex change initiatives, ensuring controls are integrated as processes evolve.
  • Provide insights to shape prioritization and improve resilience across the finance function.
  • Maintain a robust control framework in line with finance transformation efforts.
  • Lead strategic projects to enhance financial capabilities across the bank.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in banking with a solid understanding of financial controls.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Experience with automation tools and data handling using SQL or Python.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Knowledge of EU financial regulations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks.
