Field Service Technician - Engine Systems (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team at DEUTZ. This Field Service Technician role offers the opportunity to work remotely while providing essential services for engine systems across various regions in Germany. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our customers' equipment.

What You'll Do

• Install, commission, and maintain customer equipment in the engine sector, including diesel, gas, hydrogen, and electric drives.
• Provide technical consultation and sell service offerings to clients.
• Conduct fault analysis and resolve technical issues on new and used engines.
• Perform inspections, tests, and evaluations to ensure operational safety.
• Document completed work and maintain service reports accurately.
• Advise customers on technical inquiries and optimization of equipment usage.
• Collaborate with departments such as spare parts service, sales, and quality assurance.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards in your work area.

Requirements

• Completed training or certification as a mechanic in automotive, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, or comparable qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of the digital work environment.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, with strong assertiveness.
• High quality awareness and responsibility.
• Valid Class B driver's license (car).
• Proficient in handling technical documentation and testing equipment.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty.

Nice to Have

• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex engine systems.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
