About the Role

We are seeking a Reporting and Accounting Analyst to join Uisce Éireann in a remote capacity. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the financial operations of Ireland's national water utility. As a Reporting and Accounting Analyst remote, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain financial accounting and reporting process documentation, working with senior leads to streamline these processes.
  • Assist in delivering all financial reports in a timely manner according to the financial calendar.
  • Support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and regulatory reports for Uisce Éireann.
  • Prepare and review manual journals for uploading, ensuring accuracy in financial data.
  • Collaborate with Business Partnering teams to ensure timely recording of costs in the general ledger.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and prepare reports that meet stakeholder needs, including Cost Centre Reporting.
  • Monitor and implement new IFRS standards as required.
  • Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors, providing necessary information as needed.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with a recognized accountancy body (ACCA, ACA).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, preferably within the utilities sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proven ability to develop effective partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing a team and demonstrating strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and proactively identify areas for improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with financial reporting software.
  • Knowledge of the water utility sector.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
