Field Operator - Water Treatment (Remote Opportunity)

About the Role

Veolia is seeking a dedicated Field Operator to join our water operations team, focusing on maintaining and operating critical water treatment equipment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to essential environmental services. As a Field Operator, you will ensure the smooth operation of our systems, making a significant impact on water treatment processes.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor water treatment plant equipment and systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance, preventative servicing, and breakdown repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and resolve issues effectively.
• Collect water samples and perform lab testing to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns when needed (on-call).

Requirements

• Trade background in mechanical, electrical, or process work.
• Experience working in industrial plants, particularly in operations or maintenance.
• Reliable, hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in water treatment or environmental services.
• Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., plumbing, electrical).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in industrial settings.
