About the Role
Veolia is seeking a dedicated Field Operator to join our water operations team, focusing on maintaining and operating critical water treatment equipment. What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor water treatment plant equipment and systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance, preventative servicing, and breakdown repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and resolve issues effectively.
- Collect water samples and perform lab testing to ensure quality standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns when needed (on-call).
Requirements
- Trade background in mechanical, electrical, or process work.
- Experience working in industrial plants, particularly in operations or maintenance.
- Reliable, hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in water treatment or environmental services.
- Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., plumbing, electrical).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in industrial settings.
