About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated F-35 Systems Administrator remote to join our team at Lockheed Martin, a global leader in aerospace and defense. This position supports the F-35 training operations for the Finnish Air Force, with a long-term deployment to Rovaniemi, Finland. As an F-35 Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness of training systems, making this an exciting opportunity to advance your IT career in a cutting-edge environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of F-35 training system devices.
  • Develop, configure, and support computer applications, ensuring optimal performance of training computer networks.
  • Interact daily with users and Lockheed Martin leadership to address system/database/software/firewall/account maintenance issues.
  • Monitor systems/applications for availability and performance, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Train IT administrators and users on academic training systems as needed.
  • Schedule and lead installations, modifications, and maintenance of training systems.
  • Collaborate with other organizations to improve operational performance and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
  • Interface directly with customers to resolve "break/fix" issues and ensure system services are available for daily operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019, Windows 10 administration, and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies, specifically VMware vSphere and ESXi.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex information systems issues efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts and support weekend work as required.
  • Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire.
  • Experience working with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with F-35 Training Management System and Learning Management System.
  • Networking certifications showcasing proficiency in networking technologies.
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members.
