Experienced C++ Developer for Chromium-Based Browser

About the Role

We are developing a modern, fast, and secure browser based on the Chromium engine, and we are looking for an Experienced C++ Developer for a Chromium-Based Browser remote position to help us implement new features, optimize performance, and refine the browser core. You will play a crucial role in strengthening our browser core for both the Android project and the Desktop direction.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement new functionality into the Chromium-based browser.
• Support and merge updates from the Chromium repository.
• Optimize performance focusing on memory, CPU usage, and loading speed.
• Fix complex bugs and crashes through deep debugging.
• Write automation scripts and build tools using Python.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial C++ development experience, particularly with Modern C++ (17/20/23).
• Experience with multithreading and asynchronous programming.
• Proficiency with debugging tools such as GDB, LLDB, and WinDbg.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong desire to advance your Development & Programming career with relocation support.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Chromium codebase, CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework), Electron, or other browser engines like WebKit or Gecko.
• Knowledge of Python, which is used in Chromium's build infrastructure and scripts.
• Familiarity with TypeScript / JavaScript for understanding interactions with V8 and WebUI.
• Understanding of network protocols such as HTTP/S and QUIC, as well as the graphics stack including Skia and OpenGL/Vulkan.
• Experience with the GN/Ninja build system.
