Executive Director - Remote Position at Ecologists Without Borders

About the Role

We are seeking an Executive Director to join Ecologists Without Borders (EcoWB) in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal as we transition into a more structured leadership model, moving from a board-led to an Executive Director-led organization. You will lead our strategic vision, manage daily operations, and ensure the financial stability of EcoWB. This is a part-time position, requiring 15-20 hours per week, with a contract term through December 31, 2026, with potential for renewal based on funding.

What You'll Do

• Lead the organization’s strategic vision and manage daily operations as the Executive Director in a remote setting.
• Oversee fundraising and development activities, building long-term relationships with donors and ensuring financial growth.
• Implement strategies that align with EcoWB’s mission and long-term goals, translating vision into actionable plans.
• Provide leadership and supervision for EcoWB’s team, including part-time staff and volunteers.
• Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, supporting policy decisions and ensuring effective governance.

Requirements

• Strong interest and passion for EcoWB’s mission and work in environmental conservation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit organizations.
• Financial literacy with experience managing budgets and fundraising strategies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
