Executive Director - Financial & Regulatory Reporting Change

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director for the Financial & Regulatory Reporting Change role to join our team remotely. This position offers the opportunity to lead significant projects within the Financial Control Division at Nomura, a global financial services group.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the AEJ change book of work for regulatory reporting, financial reporting, capital management, and technology.
  • Formulate and implement technology solutions to improve process and control efficiencies.
  • Manage key projects and stakeholders across the region and group.
  • Engage actively in projects across the Finance Control space, requiring strong knowledge of Finance, Systems, and Data.
  • Bridge the gap between IT and Finance, managing and driving regional priorities.
  • Develop and manage Finance technology budgets.
  • Represent Finance Control in local and regional strategic project initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in banking, financial institutions, or related consulting roles.
  • Expertise in data management and system architecture.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate technical details into strategic presentations.
  • Experience managing complex projects in financial services firms.
  • Expert understanding of financial and regulatory reporting systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of regional financial regulatory frameworks and Basel standards.
  • Expert knowledge in capital requirements and capital.
  • Strong understanding of both US GAAP and IFRS reporting.

Nice to Have

  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications) preferred.
