About the Role

We are seeking an ERP Production Specialist to join our team at Allegion, where we help people live, work, and visit safely. This is a hands-on role that connects the production floor, business analysts, and the ERP project team. As an ERP Production Specialist remote, you will validate processes on the shop floor, build and clean master data, configure and execute realistic tests, provide demos, and deliver training to end-users.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively manage and monitor all time-sensitive issues related to production needs and the functioning ERP system, including reviewing production orders and managing deviations.
  • Identify the root cause of exceptions and escalate when necessary to prevent customer impact.
  • Drive accurate production data and create operational/production reports and dashboards from the ERP and OEE to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Translate production floor processes into technical requirements and specifications.
  • Support process design workshops and provide input on production-related configurations (e.g., pipelines, work centers, MRP, shop floor control, bill of materials, quality controls).
  • Build, maintain, and validate the master data needed for production (items, bills of materials, routes, raw materials, services, work centers).
  • Create and execute test plans for unit, integration, batch processes, and user acceptance tests focused on production and shop floor scenarios; document issues and verify solutions.
  • Develop test scripts and realistic test data that reflect actual production conditions and exceptions.
  • Provide practical system demonstrations for key users and operators; prepare training materials (work tools, step-by-step guides) for production roles.
  • Offer first-level support post-go-live to production users, triage incidents, reproduce defects, and escalate issues to the central IT/consultant team.
  • Participate in cutover planning and execution of production processes (e.g., final data migration, freeze checks, go-live validation) for launches and system upgrades/new releases.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and system optimizations for production performance and usability.
  • Maintain documentation of production processes, configuration settings, and known issues/solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of production processes: shop floor operations, work orders, bill of materials, pipelines, capacity planning, MRP, quality control, and common production constraints.
  • Practical experience with one or more ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics, and experience with upgrades and releases.
  • Good understanding of data structures and master data management in relation to production.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to reproduce and diagnose system issues.
  • Effective communicator who can collaborate with operators, supervisors, key users, IT, and external consultants.
  • Training and documentation skills; able to create clear, concise work tools and training plans.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and process-oriented thinking.
  • Comfortable working on the shop floor and in cross-functional project teams; adaptable under live pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, production engineering, operations management, information systems, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of practical experience in production/operations in a manufacturing environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.

What We Offer

  • Excellent opportunities for professional growth, supported by intensive coaching and ample room for development and advancement.
  • 27 vacation days to promote a healthy work-life balance.
  • Competitive salary and profit-sharing bonus.
  • Discounts on health insurance and fitness benefits.
  • Remote work flexibility with a supportive team environment.
