Equipment Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are hiring an Equipment Engineer to join Yanfeng Safety Systems. This Equipment Engineer remote position is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of equipment and tools, ensuring they operate efficiently to meet production needs while controlling and reducing maintenance costs.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the design review of new equipment and tools, establishing the equipment/tool list.
• Troubleshoot PLC program errors according to requirements.
• Prepare and update LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) work instructions for equipment.
• Train maintenance department personnel and other employees.
• Resolve equipment failures, especially those causing on-site downtime longer than 15 minutes, and identify root causes.
• Manage spare parts by developing standards and plans for purchasing spare parts and tools while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Standardize maintenance documentation, including recording, statistics, analysis, and archiving of equipment maintenance checklists, parameter control tables, and PLC program files.
• Implement and continuously optimize preventive maintenance plans for equipment and tools to improve overall equipment efficiency.
• Organize maintenance personnel and assign maintenance and repair tasks as required.
• Participate in the training and skill assessment of maintenance personnel to improve efficiency levels.
• Organize and participate in the commissioning and installation inspection of facilities and equipment.
• Participate in safety and health risk assessments of production equipment and develop appropriate management plans.

Requirements

• Level III or IV vocational qualification in mechanical or technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as an Equipment Engineer remote.
• Strong understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
