Entry-Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We are looking for an Entry-Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team at BeaconFire Inc. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java (8+/JEE) and JavaScript.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable test code to ensure platform quality and scalability.
• Apply and promote Agile, Waterfall, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Deploy and manage automated test suites in cloud-based environments.
• Analyze application performance and behavior during execution using various testing techniques.
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify, debug, and resolve defects efficiently.
• Research new tools and technologies and contribute to architectural and testing strategy discussions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of the software development and testing life cycle (SDLC/STLC).
• Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with data structures such as Lists, Sets, Maps, and Collections.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL queries.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0–1 year of academic or professional experience in Java development or test automation.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, JMeter or other performance testing tools.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
