Entry Level Rail/Track Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are looking for an Entry Level Rail/Track Engineer to join Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers in a remote capacity. This role is an excellent opportunity for early career professionals to engage in rail and transit engineering projects, contributing to the design and implementation of innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the production of plans, specifications, and estimates for construction projects.
- Develop the scope of work for engineering tasks, design schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements.
- Monitor progress against schedule and budget requirements, documenting changes in scope as necessary.
- Coordinate with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate the bid process.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and project management.
- Analyze and circulate technical and contractual information across project disciplines.
- Support the Mid-Level Engineer in executing technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements
- 0 - 2 years of experience focusing on rail transit engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
- PE License (or ability to obtain) and EIT License (or ability to obtain).
- Knowledge of current codes and industry standards including AREMA, TCRP, and AASHTO.
- Proficient in developing CADD design models.

- Experience with project management software.
- Familiarity with construction planning and scheduling tools.
