About the Role

We are seeking an experienced English into German Patent Sworn Translator to join our dynamic team remotely. This role involves translating patent documents in the fields of Mechanics, Electricity, and Computer Science. As an essential part of our Talent Management team, you will contribute to high-quality translations and ensure compliance with legal standards.

What You'll Do

  • Translate patent documents from English (US) into German, focusing on Mechanics, Electricity, and Computer Science.
  • Utilize CAT tools, particularly XTM, to enhance translation efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain attention to detail to ensure the integrity of legal documents.
  • Respond promptly to project requests and maintain good availability for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with a multicultural team and engage in professional relationships with global production teams.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in translation and/or editing of patent documents.
  • Proficiency in using CAT tools, especially XTM.
  • Official recognition as a sworn translator in Germany.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness.
