Engineering Manager - Remote Product Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our product engineering teams in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in designing and developing workflows and integrations that enhance support for our clinical staff and the families we serve. As an Engineering Manager remote, you will manage a dedicated engineering team, collaborating closely with product teams and the lead platform architect to ensure successful project execution.

What You'll Do

• Partner with product teams and stakeholders to scope and oversee the delivery of technical projects, ensuring scalable solutions for clinical staff and families.
• Oversee the design and development of maintainable, scalable software systems that are thoroughly tested and documented.
• Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through constructive feedback.
• Work with internal product and design teams to translate business needs into high-impact technology solutions.
• Supervise the creation and management of robust integrations between InStride and third-party systems.
• Act as a creative, agile leader who drives the team to push new features and code every iteration.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams in building and deploying advanced web applications.
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and conducting thoughtful code reviews.
• Experience in Healthcare Technologies is a plus.
• Strong understanding of complex data integrations, APIs, and webhooks.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading projects involving AI/ML integrations.
• Familiarity with our tech stack: Golang, React/Typescript, AWS.
