Engineer Systems Modeling & Simulation - Thermal Analysis (Remote)

We are seeking an Engineer Systems Modeling & Simulation - Thermal Analysis to join our team remotely. As an Engineer Systems Modeling & Simulation, you will perform a variety of thermal engineering tasks, applying theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to solve analytical engineering problems.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thermal analysis of avionics, structures, and liquid propellants.
- Perform heat transfer analysis of components and systems on the ground and in space.
- Utilize classical heat transfer methods and software to predict temperatures and design thermal protection of rocket components.
- Develop proficiency with thermal software such as Sinda/Fluint, Thermal Desktop, and ATAC.
- Produce engineering documentation and technical reports to support design, integration, and testing efforts.
- Gather, compile, and interpret technical data such as flight data and test reports.
- Collaborate with team members to address issues using skills obtained in the field of engineering.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of thermal analysis processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year of experience.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Strong thermal background with demonstrated work experience as a thermal analyst.
- Familiarity with thermodynamics, aerodynamics, compressible flow, and fluid mechanics.
- Computer skills with standard word processing and spreadsheet experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace principles.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher.
- Experience with Thermal Desktop, Sinda, and Matlab.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
