Electrician - Food Processing Facility

About the Role

We are seeking an Electrician to join our team at Dunbia, a leading supplier of quality beef, pork, and lamb products. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a food processing facility, ensuring that all electrical systems operate efficiently. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

What You'll Do

• Ensure that plant equipment is operated and functioning correctly.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and repairs on electrical systems.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the facility.
• Assist production teams with machinery problems and setups, providing training as needed.
• Complete daily maintenance check sheets and job cards accurately.

Requirements

• BTEC/C&G in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or similar environment is preferred.
• Completed 18th Edition training or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan workloads effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
