What You'll Do

  • Support technical staff, engineers, and project managers in due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial scale projects.
  • Assist with the research, design, concept development, and construction of transmission and distribution substations, power distribution, and renewable energy systems.
  • Generate accurate and concise reports and documentation regarding assigned materials, installations, and construction specifications.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data relating to substation components and equipment specifications for procurement package development.
  • Perform professional electrical engineering work relating to the design of wiring diagrams, substation layout, and grounding grid design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience in an electrical engineering capacity.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and design/build applications.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively express ideas to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Prior design experience.
  • Active participation in local professional practice organizations.
