Editorial Projects Manager - Remote Opportunity at FIFA

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Editorial Projects Manager to join our team at FIFA. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the biggest events in the sports industry while working with a dedicated and innovative team. As an Editorial Projects Manager, you will manage the coverage of FIFA events, ensuring that storytelling opportunities are maximized through effective content curation.

What You'll Do

• Project manage the coverage of FIFA events by creating content curation memo documents that plan editorial input and output.
• Coordinate on-site teams and interviews during FIFA tournaments, managing internal stakeholder requests.
• Provide hands-on support, including producing video crews and capturing social media content while on-site.
• Create tournament content toolkits by managing agency relationships and developing video, graphics, and editorial briefs.
• Support the Senior Content Production Manager in the ideation and production of video assets for FIFA institutional events.
• Propose and manage new sources of multi-platform content, including the FIFA Podcast.
• Assist with Video News Release (VNR) production and distribution using various platforms and tools.
• Drive the promotion of stakeholder activities across FIFA’s channels.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an international sports and/or media organization, with a background in football and/or journalism.
• Expertise in media, communications, and public relations.
• Excellent English skills, including writing, communication, and presentation.
• Proven experience coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com and content management tools like Contentful and Bynder.
• Knowledge of emerging AI platforms is a plus.
• Ability to handle budgets and manage RFP processes.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and readiness for standby duties.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP.
• Strong understanding of the political and commercial nature of a global governing body’s activities.
• Ability to foster long-term relationships with key professionals.
