Editorial Projects Manager - Remote Opportunity at FIFA
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Editorial Projects Manager to join our team at FIFA. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the biggest events in the sports industry while working with a dedicated and innovative team. As an Editorial Projects Manager, you will manage the coverage of FIFA events, ensuring that storytelling opportunities are maximized through effective content curation.
What You'll Do
- Project manage the coverage of FIFA events by creating content curation memo documents that plan editorial input and output.
- Coordinate on-site teams and interviews during FIFA tournaments, managing internal stakeholder requests.
- Provide hands-on support, including producing video crews and capturing social media content while on-site.
- Create tournament content toolkits by managing agency relationships and developing video, graphics, and editorial briefs.
- Support the Senior Content Production Manager in the ideation and production of video assets for FIFA institutional events.
- Propose and manage new sources of multi-platform content, including the FIFA Podcast.
- Assist with Video News Release (VNR) production and distribution using various platforms and tools.
- Drive the promotion of stakeholder activities across FIFA’s channels.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an international sports and/or media organization, with a background in football and/or journalism.
- Expertise in media, communications, and public relations.
- Excellent English skills, including writing, communication, and presentation.
- Proven experience coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com and content management tools like Contentful and Bynder.
- Knowledge of emerging AI platforms is a plus.
- Ability to handle budgets and manage RFP processes.
- Willingness to travel worldwide and readiness for standby duties.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP.
- Strong understanding of the political and commercial nature of a global governing body’s activities.
- Ability to foster long-term relationships with key professionals.
