Director of Sales & Events - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Director of Sales & Events to join our team remotely. In this pivotal role, you will lead our dynamic sales team to new heights of success while representing a newly renovated upscale Full Service Boutique Hotel & Conference Center in the state capital of Kentucky. As the driving force behind our hotel's revenue generation efforts, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to maximize profitability and market share.
What You'll Do
- Lead the sales team in generating leads, negotiating contracts, and closing deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Identify key market segments and cultivate relationships with high-value clients to secure lucrative business opportunities.
- Meet and exceed Rooms/Food & Beverage revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts.
- Conduct a minimum of 20-35 qualified outside sales calls weekly, including out-of-town solicitation as needed.
- Utilize yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date file management system to serve clients and employers efficiently.
- Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and professional interaction.
- Focus on revenue-producing activities and maximize selling time by dedicating a minimum of 90% work time on direct sales efforts.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in hotel sales and marketing in a leadership role.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related major preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Dynamic personality and passion for hospitality.
