Director of Platform Engineering - Cybersecurity Solutions

About the Role

Filigran is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to lead our platform organization through its next phase of growth. This remote position is crucial for overseeing our platform engineering efforts, managing a talented team of engineers, and ensuring the successful execution of our platform roadmap.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of 14 platform engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
• Own the platform roadmap across three distinct verticals, collaborating closely with the VP of Platform Engineering and Technical Product Manager.
• Ensure operational reliability for Filigran Cloud and SaaS deployments, maintaining high service level agreements (SLAs).
• Drive continuous improvement in incident response and operational practices.
• Set and uphold engineering standards across Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native tooling.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years in an engineering leadership role with direct management experience.
• Strong technical credibility in bare-metal/Kubernetes infrastructure and cloud-native deployments.
• Excellent communication skills to align engineers, TPM, and executives.
• Remote-first mindset with a maximum ±2h gap from CET.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a fast-growing SaaS or open-source company.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Python development background.
