Director of Clinical Data Science - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Clinical Data Science to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in bridging clinical expertise with data-driven product innovation. As a physician-leader, you will leverage your deep clinical knowledge and fluency in data science to shape how we model, interpret, and utilize healthcare pricing and utilization data.

What You'll Do

• Lead the clinical data science strategy, applying medical expertise to healthcare pricing, reimbursement, and utilization datasets.
• Advance the clinical infrastructure for a more open and efficient healthcare marketplace.
• Design and develop data models, algorithms, and analytical frameworks that translate clinical complexity into actionable product insights.
• Serve as the authoritative clinical voice in cross-functional discussions with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
• Identify novel data science approaches to solve complex problems at the intersection of clinical care and healthcare finance.

Requirements

• MD with 3–5+ years of clinical practice experience.
• Experience designing, building, or scaling applications powered by AI or LLMs.
• Fluent in data science tools and methods, primarily using Python and SQL.
• Strong communication skills to command respect among clinical and technical peers.
• Creative problem-solver with a phenomenal work ethic and self-starter mentality.
