Developer Advocate - Content Focused Role

About the Role

We are hiring a Developer Advocate to join our team at Paddle. This remote Developer Advocate position focuses on creating engaging content that enhances our developer experience. Paddle is revolutionizing payment infrastructure for digital product companies, allowing them to streamline their payment processes. As a Developer Advocate, you will play a crucial role in shaping the Paddle API and ensuring our documentation is top-notch.

What You'll Do

• Produce high-quality content that directly engages potential and existing customers, including changelog entries, long-form guides, tutorials, and articles.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing the developer experience.
• Create compelling copy in partnership with product owners, marketing, and design teams.
• Document features, enhancements, and bug fixes by gathering and organizing technical information from engineers and product teams.
• Guide the presentation and writing of API documentation to ensure clarity and usability.
• Implement technical documentation standards that enhance the quality of our content.
• Proactively gather feedback from colleagues and customers to keep documentation relevant and up-to-date.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in delivering API or developer-focused digital content, such as product documentation or knowledge bases.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and simplify them for software end-users.
• Experience working in both early-stage technology companies and larger organizations.
• Proven track record of improving documentation from good to great.

Nice to Have

• Experience in creating engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with developer tools and APIs.
