Data Scientist Intern - Medical Technology

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Data Scientist Intern at Boston Scientific. This role is perfect for individuals looking to start their careers in data science and contribute to innovative medical solutions. As a Data Scientist Intern, you will work closely with high-performing teams and tackle significant challenges in the health industry. This position requires you to be onsite three to four days a week in Arden Hills, United States.

What You'll Do

• Participate in data-driven analysis, signal processing, and machine learning projects.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and create visualizations of multivariate clinical datasets.
• Collaborate with software engineers and other data scientists to test algorithms and improve data models.
• Research and assess next-generation technologies for analyzing biological signals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and contribute to technical discussions in data science.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, physics, or engineering.
• Graduation expected between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
• Strong programming skills in Python and understanding of statistical data analysis techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern OOP techniques.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice to Have

• Previous research experience in biological signal processing or biomedical data analysis.
• Experience with signal processing and feature extraction from physiological signals.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and big data technologies.
• Experience working with Deep Neural Networks and tools like TensorFlow.
