Data Lakehouse Engineer - Remote Opportunity at Fiserv

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Data Lakehouse Engineer to join our team at Fiserv. This remote Data Lakehouse Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to design and optimize scalable lakehouse solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create resilient ingestion and transformation pipelines, ensuring reliability and high-quality data.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement lakehouse integration architectures, including data flows and ELT/ETL patterns.
• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion and processing across data lake and lakehouse layers.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices throughout the data lifecycle.
• Monitor and fine-tune data workflows and compute jobs to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Provide production support, ensuring robust system observability and proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams for efficient data modeling and storage optimization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role within an enterprise-scale environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data integration platforms such as IBM Streamsets or Informatica.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including IAM, Lambda, EKS, and S3.
• Proven expertise with Snowflake, including performance tuning and query design.
• Experience with batch and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data transformation frameworks such as DBT.
• Exposure to CI/CD or Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Application Performance Monitoring Framework experience.
