Data Governance Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join our innovative team at Spuerkeess. This remote Data Governance Analyst position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the deployment of our data strategy while promoting a data-driven culture within our organization.

What You'll Do

• Establish and implement policies and standards for managing all data dimensions, including quality, classification, protection, and retention.
• Develop and monitor strategic and operational indicators to ensure compliance with data governance standards.
• Collaborate with Data Stewards and Owners to guarantee effective data management throughout its lifecycle.
• Analyze data quality issues, propose solutions, and coordinate the implementation of these solutions.
• Evaluate the quality control mechanisms for critical data and recommend enhancements as necessary.
• Work with project teams and IT to identify data impacts during changes.
• Assess the governance framework of data suppliers.
• Participate in the evolution of data management tools, including data catalog, data lineage, and data quality management.

Requirements

• Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in data management, with a minimum of 10 years in data governance.
• Fluency in French and English; knowledge of Luxembourgish is an advantage.
• Technical skills in Business Analysis, Data Architecture, and IT Security.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as DORA and GDPR.
• Experience with data governance tools and methodologies.
• Strong collaborative attitude and a client-centric approach.
• Ability to adapt to change and demonstrate commitment and passion for your work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data cataloging and data lineage tools.
• Knowledge of data quality management practices.
• Project management experience.
