Cybersecurity Engineer (EDR) - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer (EDR) remote to join our dynamic team at ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions. This role is a 6-month contract position that offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely. As a Cybersecurity Engineer (EDR) remote, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting next-generation security solutions that protect enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

• Support the migration of multiple business units to a next-generation SIEM platform, including CrowdStrike-based security solutions.
• Research, evaluate, validate, and recommend security technologies to enhance our cybersecurity posture.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure effective support for security tools and platforms.
• Manage system and application configurations, policies, and operational activities for assigned security solutions.
• Monitor, report on, and optimize the performance of security technologies, ensuring they meet regulatory and security framework requirements.
• Provide incident response and problem management for security technology issues, troubleshooting software and hardware failures.
• Track and follow up on security work requests, coordinating with other IT teams for timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, including procedures and knowledge articles.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of related professional experience, with at least 2 years in cybersecurity.
• Strong foundational understanding of security controls across network, application, and operating system layers.
• Experience with vulnerability management and patching processes.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Certification required at the time of submission (SSCP or CISSP).

Nice to Have

• Exposure to project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Lean, or SAFe.
