Cybersecurity Analyst (Network & Firewall) - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
Are you interested in building your career as a Cybersecurity Analyst (Network & Firewall) remote? At Qaracter, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our CISO team within a leading international bank. This role is perfect for someone at the early stages of their cybersecurity career, eager to gain strong exposure to enterprise network security and governance processes.
What You’ll Do
- Review, analyze, and validate firewall rule change requests (NAT, ACLs, Layer 4 / Layer 7 filtering).
- Ensure all firewall rules comply with corporate security policies and internal standards.
- Assess the necessity, justification, and risk of requested network connectivity.
- Document approved rules and maintain proper traceability for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with project, operations, and infrastructure teams to resolve connectivity and security-related issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in network security processes.
- Support internal and external audits related to network security controls.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in networking, infrastructure, or cybersecurity-related roles.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, VLANs).
- Basic knowledge of network and security tools.
- Fundamental understanding of information security concepts (firewalls, segmentation, access control).
- Ability to analyze network configurations and security setups.
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of perimeter security technologies (firewalls, IPS, VPN).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Networking, Information Security, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken).
- English level B2 or higher.
- Willingness to relocate to Málaga, Spain.
Nice to Have
- Experience with enterprise firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
- Familiarity with SIEM solutions and/or ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
- Networking or security certifications (CCNA, Fortinet NSE 1–3, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Zero Trust models or network segmentation concepts.
