About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Incident Manager to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a Cyber Security Incident Manager remote, you will lead and coordinate major cyber security incidents, ensuring effective response and management during critical events. This role is essential for maintaining the security posture of our organization and requires a proactive approach to incident management.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate major cyber security incidents, including ransomware, data breaches, and phishing campaigns.
  • Act as the primary incident commander during high-severity events, overseeing triage, impact assessment, and remediation plans.
  • Direct technical investigations in collaboration with SOC analysts and threat intelligence teams.
  • Produce detailed incident reports and executive summaries, tracking metrics and trends to improve security posture.
  • Coordinate with IT, Risk, Legal, and third-party partners during incidents to ensure effective communication and resolution.
  • Support the development of cyber incident simulations and readiness assessments.
  • Provide mentorship to junior analysts and incident responders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading complex cyber security incidents in a mid-to-large enterprise or MSSP environment.
  • Strong understanding of attack methodologies, malware behavior, and adversary TTPs.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and forensic tools.
  • Ability to make clear decisions under pressure and command multi-disciplinary response teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical details to senior leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with NIST frameworks and incident response best practices.
  • Experience in vendor coordination and managing external relationships.
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and their application in incident response.
