About the Role

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative - Remote to join our team at SafeRide Health. This role is essential in our mission to eliminate transportation barriers to healthcare. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for members, providers, and health plans requesting non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). Your role will be pivotal in coordinating rides to medical appointments while ensuring compassionate and efficient service.

What You'll Do

  • Handle inbound calls from members, medical facilities, transportation providers, and health plans.
  • Accurately gather and enter detailed trip information to ensure successful ride scheduling.
  • Confirm member eligibility and review transportation benefits.
  • Respond to member inquiries regarding transportation services.
  • Identify and assess members’ additional needs and escalate when necessary.
  • Document member concerns and complaints in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve service issues in real-time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of inbound call center experience in a high call-volume environment.
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and sanctions screening.

  • Experience in healthcare or transportation services.
