Junior Software Quality Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Junior Software Quality Engineer remote position at AvePoint. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to build high-quality solutions and continuously improve our testing practices.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
• Perform both manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams and on-site stakeholders throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, tools, and standards to enhance overall product quality.
• Validate bug fixes and verify releases before deployment to ensure high standards are met.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality perspective to enhance product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and preparing test data.
• Ability to perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing effectively.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in English for reporting and collaboration; Mandarin language skills are a plus.
• Experience with automated testing is an advantage.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
