About the Role

Join Payslip as a Customer Engineering Manager and lead a dynamic team in a remote setting. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing internal tools that enhance operational excellence across our customer engineering team.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of 3–5 junior engineers, guiding them in best engineering practices and problem-solving.
  • Define and document workflows to facilitate interactions between customers, Payslip, and Payroll Providers.
  • Create mapping rules and an internal knowledge base repository to streamline operations.
  • Develop playbooks and training materials, actively participating in onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Identify and architect automation solutions to reduce manual activities, enhancing efficiency.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor engagements with Payslip customers and vendors.
  • Ensure accurate reporting to management and key stakeholders, maintaining service excellence.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Five years of experience in software development, with prior team management experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, AWS services, Docker, and SQL databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., GitLab).
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in building and delivering solutions with external customers.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
