CTO /​ Director of AI - Next-Generation AI Trading Agent Platform

About the Role

We are hiring a CTO / Director of AI to build the firm’s next-generation AI trading agent platform. This is a high-impact leadership role that offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of investment technology. As the CTO / Director of AI, you will drive the development of an end-to-end AI Trading Agent Platform designed to enhance investment decision-making and improve portfolio manager productivity. This role is pivotal for the long-term scalability of the firm’s investment processes.

What You'll Do

• Lead the architecture and build-out of a fully integrated AI trading agent platform, moving beyond traditional research systems.
• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers to iterate on strategy, workflow, and execution.
• Translate investment problems into robust technical solutions to strengthen investment efficiency.
• Own the overall technology and product roadmap while building a high-performing engineering team over time.
• Drive the vision for a persistent intelligence system that retains knowledge and evolves as PM teams change.

Requirements

• Proven experience at the Director or CTO level, with a strong AI-native background including LLMs, agent architectures, and automation.
• Excellent engineering capabilities, both hands-on and architectural.
• Experience in Big Tech, AI startups, quant/hedge funds, or trading environments.
• Overseas exposure preferred, with openness to relocation.
• High learning agility and a strong ownership mindset, with the ability to collaborate with PMs as a strategic partner.
• Capable of team building and long-term platform leadership.

Nice to Have

• Deep understanding of AI/LLM/agent frameworks.
• Strong coding ability, particularly in Python.
• Product-oriented mindset with experience in building scalable agent products.
• Background in trading or financial markets is beneficial.
