About the Role

We are looking for a Creative UI and Marketing Linguist - English into Armenian (Remote) to join our growing team at Welocalize. In this role, you will take ownership of the incoming work on this account and actively contribute to the success of our global clients. As a linguist, you will translate and review content from English into Armenian, ensuring that the original meaning is conveyed in a readable manner.

What You'll Do

  • Translate and review various content types including informational, legal, marketing, product, and support materials.
  • Ensure the original meaning is maintained while adapting content for the Armenian audience.
  • Utilize translation and terminology tools effectively to enhance the quality of your work.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to clarify translation instructions.
  • Provide rationale for transcreation decisions to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Engage with diverse projects that contribute to global marketing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with a global team of linguistic professionals.
  • Manage a workload of approximately 5000+ words per week.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in translation and reviewing.
  • Proficient in marketing and product translation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and native fluency in Armenian.
  • A degree in linguistics or equivalent experience is required.
  • Technical and creative knowledge is beneficial.
  • Ability to follow translation instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Strong understanding of UI and creative content.
  • Experience with translation tools and terminology management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in transcreation for marketing purposes.
  • Familiarity with localization processes and best practices.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
