About the Role

We are seeking a Country Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts at BASF. This remote Country Sales Manager position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our sales strategy and drive performance across the region. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing budgets, and developing a high-performing sales team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the sales team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial targets.
  • Develop and implement the country marketing plan and sales strategies.
  • Coach and mentor team members to foster a culture of performance and accountability.
  • Manage customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Monitor market performance and adjust strategies as necessary to meet changing conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and BASF’s Responsible Care guidelines.
  • Collaborate with BASF Agriculture Solutions to leverage synergies and enhance market performance.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Agriculture.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Proven track record of leading transformational change and managing diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of the agricultural market and customer dynamics.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in the agricultural sector or related industries.
  • Knowledge of customer experience strategies.
