About the Role

We are excited to offer a Corporate Summer Internship - Operations (Remote) at Wilmington Trust N.A. This internship provides a unique opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience while working remotely. As a summer intern, you will complete a 10-week program focused on professional development, career growth, and building the necessary skills to succeed in the financial services industry. This Corporate Summer Internship - Operations will allow you to participate in projects and department initiatives that accelerate your career growth and play an important role in shaping the future of the Bank.

What You'll Do

• Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry-level professional nature specific to your assigned area within the Bank.
• Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards.
• Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Proven analytical skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under immediate supervision.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in a related field.
• Familiarity with financial services or banking operations.
