About the Role

We’re hiring a Control Analytics Manager to join our team remotely at Monzo. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in risk, controls, and data analytics to design and build automated monitoring solutions that enhance our control environment. This Control Analytics Manager position offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced techniques, including AI, to improve efficiency and scalability in our operations.

What You'll Do

• Design and build Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) dashboards using SQL, BigQuery, and Looker to ensure ongoing validation of material risks and controls.
• Create reusable code and automation frameworks to embed analytics into control testing, enhancing our data-driven risk management approach.
• Lead data analytics for targeted reviews of specific risks or control themes, providing insights that inform senior decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across risk, audit, and business teams to strengthen accountability and embed a culture of proactive assurance.
• Drive continuous improvement by ensuring control gaps identified through analytics are addressed and recorded.

Requirements

• Experience in regulated financial services, professional services, or high-growth tech, focusing on control assurance and data-driven risk management.
• Proficiency in SQL; experience with Looker and BigQuery is a plus.
• Hands-on experience designing and building data analytics solutions for control testing.
• Strong analytical skills to simplify complexity and communicate insights effectively to senior management.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments, demonstrating resilience and proactivity.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitHub and automating data pipelines into BigQuery.
• Familiarity with AI techniques for enhancing data analytics.
• Immediate availability or a notice period of 1 month or less.
