Continuous Casting Operator - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Continuous Casting Operator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of the continuous casting process, ensuring stability, operational safety, and product quality. As a Continuous Casting Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality policy of Ternium and adhering to the defined procedures in our Quality Management System.

What You'll Do

• Operate the continuous casting process, ensuring the stability of operations and quality of the final product.
• Perform manual control of steel levels in molds and execute machine startups.
• Manage mold filling, distributor changes, and end-of-sequence capping effectively.
• Act decisively in emergency situations to minimize operational risks and impacts on quality.
• Respond promptly to corrective actions stemming from deviations in area objectives, including quality drops and operational performance issues.
• Participate in risk analyses and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance operational reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations, safeguarding the integrity of personnel and equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in similar operational roles is required.
• Availability to work in shifts.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
