Cloud Security Engineer - Remote Position
About the Role
Insight Global is looking for a fully remote Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions for our customers, ensuring their data and applications are secure. As a Cloud Security Engineer remote professional, you will work closely with both cloud and security services to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues effectively.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and manage cloud resources, identifying underutilized or overprovisioned resources while implementing cost-saving strategies like scaling and automation.
- Develop automation scripts and leverage tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployments, and improve efficiency.
- Implement and manage security controls using Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and other Azure security services to protect against cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and data breaches.
- Utilize Microsoft Sentinel for implementing, managing, and monitoring security incidents.
- Configure Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools, including Azure Active Directory (AD), to control access to cloud resources based on the principle of least privilege.
- Implement data encryption, access controls, and other measures to protect sensitive data in the cloud, adhering to compliance regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
- Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches promptly and effectively, minimizing damage and downtime.
- Provide technical support to internal and external users, guiding them through troubleshooting steps and escalating complex issues as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in Cybersecurity.
- Experience with security frameworks such as PCI, NIST 800-53, ISO27002/1.
- Strong background in Network and Security Administration.
- Microsoft Cloud Engineering Certifications such as SC200, AZ900, AZ104, SC100, Security+, Network+, OSCP.
Nice to Have
- Experience with incident response and management.
- Familiarity with cloud compliance regulations.
